Tables right on Piazza Santo Spirito, facing the church. A beautiful spot for lunch in the Oltrarno. I recommend the bruschetta with sun-dried tomatoes and burrata.
Pandemonio di Casa Brogi
A classic Florentine trattoria focused on meat dishes and traditional pasta. Do not miss the Florentine steak, which also appears in its own dedicated section. The appetizers and pasta are excellent too. Booking required.
Lampredotto Pollini
You can't leave Florence without eating real lampredotto. Golden rule: you eat standing up, at lunchtime only, in a sandwich with all the sauces, paired with a glass of red wine. Long queue — absolutely worth every minute. Avoid the Central Market: too touristy, different flavour.
Marina di Santo Spirito
The best seafood restaurant in the historic centre. The raw fish platter is outstanding. If you want to taste real Mediterranean seafood, this is the place. Book well in advance.
